The Russian Union of ITC (innovation and technology centers) was founded in August, 2000 at the initiative of innovation and technology centers and organizations of the innovation infrastructure. Its main purpose is to create and develop favorable conditions for development of research and technology small and medium enterprises.
The union has 27 consolidated ITC rendering support to more than 5 thousand innovation companies, R&D organizations and Universities and Institutes in 20 regions of the country. In 2003 the innovation output of the ITC companies-residents (members of the Russian Union of ITC) amounted to more than 28 bn RUB. The members of the Russian Union of ITC have at their disposal over 282 thousand sq mt of office premises, laboratory and research and production areas and are renting out over 121 thousand sq mt to small innovative enterprises (SIE) to back their innovation activities.
In September, 2014 the public enterprise “Zelenograd Development Corporation” concluded an Agreement with the Russian Union of innovation and technology centers. The agreement is intended to:
